Frequently asked questions

FAQ’s

What happens after submitting my order request?
Once successfully submitting your request, a summary of your order will be emailed to you and a project manager will be assigned to your job. Your project manager will contact you within 48 hours of your request and finalize details regarding your order and tape collection.
How long does it take?
The video conversion process can take up to 30 days from when we’ve received your original media.
What if one of my items is blank, damaged, or cannot be converted?
It’s not uncommon for a tape to be blank, a VHS to be damaged, or for customers to send in items that we actually aren’t able to transfer. Our team will keep you updated via email every step of the way and you will not be charged for such items.
How do I pay?
Upon completion of your order a project invoice will be emailed to you. We want to ensure we haven’t come across any blank or damaged tapes before collecting payment.
What’s on the flash drive and is it readable on both Mac & PC?
Your provided flash drive will include mp4 video files compatible for both MAC & PC playback. For each tape converted a separate video file will be produced and titled in reference to your tapes original label. If your tapes are unlabeled or you wish to update the title, renaming your files can be done once received.
Will you restore, enhance, or improve footage quality?
We always try to get the best quality conversion possible. However, the quality of the transfer ultimately depends on the quality of the original media. We do not offer any sort of restoration, enhancement, or editing of your items. If there is an issue with the original, those issues will translate over to the digital copies.
